Secure Online Medical Bill Pay
With PatientConnection's bill pay feature, sending statement reminders to patients couldn't be easier. When a patient's bill is due, an automated statement is sent to the patient by email. This email provides a link to check the status of their bill, and the option to pay the medical bill online using a credit card or electronic check.

Insurance Management
One of the many reasons for rejected insurance claims is outdated patient insurance information. With PatientConnection, patients have the freedom to maintain their insurance information, which is updated directly in their patient chart on any MDConnection practice management product. This saves your office valuable time and money by ensuring your patient's insurance information is always current.

Real-time Appointment Scheduling
Scheduling patient appointments by phone can be a cumbersome task in a busy medical practice. While working side-by-side with medical office staff, we identified a valuable time-saving feature — let patients schedule their own appointments online. PatientConnection communicates directly with all MDConnection practice management products, in real-time, over the internet to exchange available appointment slots, and displays these availabilities to patients when they request an appointment. Once confirmed, the appointment is reserved, and the patient will receive an appointment reminder by email.

Automated Patient Health Information Interviews
Traditional medical practices handle patient health information in much the same way — asking patients to complete a series of forms while they wait for their appointment. With PatientConnection, patients are able to complete these same forms online, prior to their appointment, all from the comfort of their own home. This benefits the medical practice and the patient by providing convenience for the patient, saving the office valuable data entry time, and ensuring accurate patient medical record information.

On-screen & Email Alerts
Typical reminders might require a telephone call to the patient or a letter sent to them via mail. PatientConnection automates these tasks by delivering on-screen alerts in addition to reminder emails sent to patients with a valid email address. This feature saves your practice valuable time and reduces postage costs.

It's simple. MDConnection allows you to invite your patients to use the patient portal. By using the internet, the patient can securely log on to the portal to update their information, view statements and appointments, and pay their medical bills with your office (see diagram below).

Another benefit of having your patients use the Patient Portal is email alerts. Anytime a statement is prepared or an appointment request gets confirmed, an email alert will be sent to the patient letting them know to log in and check necessary items. All of this can be done from the comfort of the patient's home, anytime day or night.

MDConnection's customer support department is composed of industry professionals who specialize in particular areas of MDConnection's product series.

All support requests are responded to within 24-48 hours by a knowledgeable support specialist for a quick resolution. The assigned specialist remains the customer’s single point of contact until the issue is resolved.

The MDConnection customer support department works closely with software engineers and medical professionals to plan for new software features and implement lasting solutions based on customer feedback.

Training
Your customer support specialist can help you with tracking support calls, training requests, upcoming releases, new features, general questions/concerns, and more.

After the provider or staff has completed our intuitive software wizard, a convenient, online meeting with their support specialist will enable you to start using MDConnection in the shortest amount of time. Additional training can also be provided at the user's request.

Our customer support program is a non-billable service provided by MDConnection to ensure a high level of satisfaction.

All MDConnection and PatientConnection software updates are implemented in late evenings, after normal business hours. Software updates will not require any installation from users, but some may require users to configure their system to take advantage of these new features. An alert notification prompts users to view recent software updates as soon as they login, and detailed alert descriptions/instructions are available anytime.

Although we make every effort to provide detailed instructions for new features, users may require additional training to ensure accurate, efficient workflows while using the software. In this case, short online meeting sessions can be scheduled by the provider's staff at a time convenient for them.

MDConnection uses broadly accepted software standards to promote product compatibility and facilitate the seamless patient data exchange between your medical practice’s information systems. Our trained staff works closely with your IT personnel to ensure accurate transfer of patient data to be used with MDConnection.
